June 3, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Revolution SC as a new league member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in Mansfield (Texas), Revolution SC will begin play in the UPSL Championship Central Conference North Division, and is finalizing its venue options in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League National Director Matt Kahla said, "We are pleased to welcome Revolution SC to the UPSL Central Conference. It has been awesome working with Angel Portillo and getting everything prepared for the Fall season for Mansfield Revolution SC. Mansfield is an ever-growing community with strong youth involvement, and now they can easily promote the work ethic of their players and now show them a path to get on a quality Pro Development club. Mansfield is growing, and Revolution SC is growing local soccer alongside the UPSL."

Angel Portillo is Owner and President of Revolution SC. A native of Dallas (Texas), Portillo played for Revolution SC as a youth player as well as North Texas ODP and FC Dallas youth select teams. He was selected all-district Defensive Player of the Year three times in four varsity seasons at Oak Cliff (Tex.)'s Life School, and had a stint with the El Salvador National Under-18 Team.

Revolution SC Owner and President Angel Portillo said, "We are looking to expand and bring together the community of Mansfield to give them more high-level soccer options to watch and connect to. The attractiveness of the UPSL is in that it has grown so fast and has so many good teams joining, and we believe that this league is the future of Promotion/Relegation in this country. Revolution SC will bring a strong community aspect, and Mansfield is a city that will really have its back behind the club. The whole club is excited for this, and we're hoping to come into the league with quite a bit of fan support."

Cesar Duarte is Director of Coaching for Revolution Soccer Club. Duarte, 43, serves as Head Coach of Revolution SC.
